Self forming mesh networks
IPM2 products use COFDM modulation techniques to provide 20-25Mb/s of low latency data throughput over long distances. These full duplex IP radios allow multiple streams to be sent and received simultaneously in any direction between connected IPM2 units. After powering up, they establish a self-forming, ad-hoc mesh network to provide the user with NLOS operation in challenging environments.
Each unit is a transceiver and will transmit and receive data sequenced by a token-based TDMA protocol. This allows units to form duplex links with other units in the same network. Point-to-point, point-to-multipoint, multipoint to multipoint and repeater configurations are supported. Connection to the IP network is through a standard RJ-45 Ethernet connector. IP cameras, NVRs and Ethernet switches can be directly connected to the IPM2 units.
IPM2 units are not 802.11-based, so do not suffer from "hidden node" and protocol legacy issues associated with the 802.11 standard. The units operate in the L-band (1150-1400MHz) and as they meet the requirements of EN302-064 they may be used for wireless video links on the UK unlicensed 1394MHz band.
Adaptive modulation ensures that the best achievable data rate and range is maintained, if the link quality deteriorate.
The IPM2 is available in OEM, Portable and Outdoor versions all of which are inter-operable.
Our system configurator tool allows remote status viewing and management of all devices in the network.

LPA - Linear Power Amp Products
The LPA8V0 is an L-band PA and the LPA9V0 can be configured as an L or S-band PA. These PAs can be used in simplex digital or analog systems to "boost" the RF power output and increase a system's operational range. Both units are capable of providing 1 Watt of RF power with good linearity and efficiency.
DDC - Dual Downconvertor Products
The DDC2V0 (L-band) and DDC4V0 (S-band) are dual-downconvertors. The function of these products is to take an L-band or S-band RF input signal and covert it to UHF frequency (300-600MHz) which is then fed to a TV tuner-type COFDM demodulator. These downconvertors are suitable for use with 3rd party COFDM simplex systems.

Front End Module (FEM)
The Front End Module has been designed to further extend the operating range of the IMP2 and other TDD radios and provides highly linear 10Watt (+40dBm average) transmit power and Low Noise Amplifier (LNA) with sub 1uS switching time between receive and transmit.
The FEM supports a wide operating supply of between 12 and 28Vdc and has input reverse, under-voltage and over-voltage protection. It also provides intelligent power, bias and temperature control. The FEM is enclosed in a high quality milled case.
